Sleep Easy In Derby

There will be a sleep out on Friday 19th March/Saturday 20th March on the Maurice Lea Memorial Park in Church Gresley. Councillor Pat Murray and his consort will themselves be sleeping out and are doing their bit to promote the event. As it’s on the park and there is very little cover – we’re offering pitches to groups/associations for up to 10 people to camp. Therefore if a charity books a pitch we collect the pitch fee and they have the option to raise money for themselves.

What happens overnight …

Sleep out over night.

The site will be secure from 10pm onwards and two people will be on patrol at all times.

The toilets will be open all night.

What happens in the morning …

Wake up starts at 5:30 with morning cuppa and a breakfast bap.

Presentation of certificates.

Please remove all rubbish including cardboard boxes that you have bought with you.

Then go home and sleep easy … knowing you’ve helped to alleviate homelessness and hardship by raising money for Burton and District YMCA ‘Life Change Fund’ and other local causes.
